A new car park was laid out at the lower end of the site by Bancon construction replacing an area which was prone to flooding.

The Community plot was gifted a shed by retiring allotment holder Norman Edwards providing a great space to store communal bits and pieces.

Slopefield registered with the "It's Your Neighbourhood" (IYN) campaign which is run in Scotland by Keep Scotland Beautiful (the campaign is part of the Royal Horticultural Society's (RHS) Britain in Bloom campaign). IYN is a grass roots community gardening campaign designed to help people to make lasting improvements to their local neighbourhoods. Groups taking part are given support, encouragement and national recognition, and are visited by a trained volunteer assessor each year.
