Our Community Days tend to be on the last Sunday of the month and details will be posted nearer the time.
FIRST COMMUNITY DAY OF THE NEW SEASON - SUNDAY 23rd MARCH
Now the new growing season is starting we would appreciate your help with spring cleaning of all the community areas of the allotment site from 2 pm till 4 pm.
Then come to The Hutton Hut to meet fellow plotters and have your gardening queries answered while enjoying refreshments and home baking from 3.30pm.
Provisional community dates for 2025, subject to change.
2pm to 4pm: 27th April, 18th May, 29th June, 27th July, 24th August, 28th September
1.30pm to 3.30pm: 26th October
There will also be additional Community Evenings on the following dates:
Thursday 8th May from 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Wednesday 11th June from 7pm to 9pm
Wednesday 16th July from 7pm to 9pm
There may also be a community day in November and additional days to prepare for the plant sale to be confirmed.
Prior Events
AGM - Wednesday 5th March 2025
The Slopefield Allotment Association 2025 AGM will be held from 7pm to 9pm at Airyhall Primary School. Information has been sent to all plotholders.
October Community Day - Sunday 27th October 2024 - 1PM START
This is the last formal community day of the year so please come along between 1pm and 3pm to help with the end of season tidy up
of the allotment site ready for overwintering.
All plotters welcome at the Hutton Hut to chat with fellow plotters and have your gardening queries answered while
enjoying refreshments and home baking from 3pm.
September Community Day - Sunday 29th September 2024
Everyone admires our allotment site but to keep it looking good is a lot of work so we would appreciate help with maintenance between 2pm and 4pm.
Then come to The Hutton Hut to meet fellow plotters and have your gardening queries answered while enjoying refreshments and home baking from 3.30pm.
August Community Day - Sunday 25th August 2024
Come along between 2pm and 4pm and help to maintain the site to the standard reflected in our achievement of a further Green Flag Award for 2024/25 and also to prepare for our upcoming “Keep Scotland Beautiful” assessment.
Then come to The Hutton Hut to meet fellow plotters and have your gardening queries answered while enjoying refreshments and home baking from 3.30pm.
Once again Slopefield Allotments were on the City Council’s itinerary for a visit by the judges assessing Aberdeen’s bid for a Britain In Bloom City Category Award.
July Community Day - Sunday 21st July 2024
For this month’s community day we would appreciate your help with general site maintenance and tidying communal
areas to prepare the site for the upcoming Keep Scotland Beautiful It’s your Neighbourhood Award from 2 pm till 4 pm
Then come to The Hutton Hut to meet fellow plotters and have your gardening queries answered while enjoying refreshments and home baking from 3.30pm.
June Community Day - Sunday 23rd June 2024
For this month’s community day we would appreciate your help with the maintenance of the site floral borders
and planting floral tubs from 2 pm till 4 pm
Then come to The Hutton Hut to meet fellow plotters and have your gardening queries answered while enjoying refreshments and home baking from 3.30pm.
May Community Day - Sunday 26th May 2024
Come along and help to tidy up the community plot, non grassed verges and tyre planters from 2 pm till 4 pm

April Community Day - Sunday 28th April 2024
We would appreciate your help with the tidying up of the top and bottom site borders and Community Plot improvements from 2 pm till 4 pm
Then come to The Hutton Hut to meet fellow plotters and have your gardening queries answered while enjoying refreshments and home baking from 3.30pm.
We have been kindly given solitary bee/insect hotels to spread around the site and help enhance the allotments habitat and give solitary bees and other pollinating insects a place to live. These will be given to plotters on a first come, first served basis during refreshments on our community afternoon.
