The first informal meeting of around 8 plot holders took place at the Palm Court Hotel.

To begin communication between plot holders a notice board was erected at the entrance to the site with a red post box for anyone to leave queries or information.

The site had been extensively used for "fly tipping" and the first thing to be tackled was a massive clear up of rubbish which the council kindly disposed off.
